Pavilion and facility reservations have to be made in person — not by email, not through a portal at eleven o'clock at night. Somebody has to go to the Duncanville Recreation Center at 201 James Collins Blvd and book it at the counter, and it has to be done at least seven days before the date you want.
That is a genuine errand, and it needs to sit on somebody's calendar rather than on a mental list. If your event is nine days out and nobody has driven over yet, that trip is this week's job; the tables and chairs are the easy part of your afternoon. Armstrong Park itself is at 100 James Collins Blvd, on the same street as the recreation center where you book it, and it has both a pavilion and a gazebo available for rental. The gazebo is worth considering for something smaller or more formal — a shower, a milestone birthday for twenty rather than eighty — while the pavilion is the one that takes a crowd and a row of tables down the middle.
